The French Type E socket is mainly distinguished by the presence of a male earthing pin. The German Type F socket, or Schuko, uses two side earthing clips. Good news: these two types are geometrically compatible with each other. In practical terms, you can plug your European Type E or F devices into the Eubiq FR3 socket interchangeably, without the need for an adapter. You can therefore use your equipment from Germany, Italy, or Spain without any constraints.

Absolutely. The Eubiq FR3 socket is IEC/EN 60884 and NF C 61-314 certified, which guarantees its full compliance with French and European electrical safety standards. It supports a voltage of 220 to 250 V for a maximum current of 16 A, exactly like a standard wall outlet installed in your home. You can therefore use it with complete peace of mind, whether at home, in an office, or in a professional space open to the public.

The FR3 socket switch is a mechanical rotary type, very easy to use. To power the socket, simply turn it a quarter turn clockwise: you will hear a distinct click and the blue LED will light up, confirming that the socket is powered. To turn it off, an eighth of a turn in the opposite direction is enough: the LED goes out and the socket is no longer powered. This system allows you to cut the power without unplugging your devices, which is particularly useful for eliminating phantom power draw and saving energy on a daily basis.

The Eubiq FR3 socket is designed exclusively for use on compatible Eubiq range tracks. It can be positioned in seconds, without tools, by simply sliding it to the desired location. It is not intended to replace a fixed wall socket embedded in a partition. If you wish to carry out a fixed electrical installation, we recommend that you call a qualified electrician. On the other hand, with an Eubiq track, you benefit from total modularity: you can move, add, or remove the socket with complete freedom.

The FR3 socket has an IP24 protection rating, meaning it is protected against water splashes from all directions. It is therefore perfectly suited for use in an open kitchen or in areas subject to occasional splashes. However, for installation in a bathroom, French regulations require higher protection ratings depending on the area concerned (volumes 0, 1, and 2). We advise you to consult an electrician before any installation in this room to ensure that you comply with the standards in force.

In the vast majority of cases, yes. Type C (Europlug, 2 round pins without earth), Type E, and Type F plugs connect directly to the FR3 socket without any adapter. This covers almost all appliances sold in Europe, whether they are of French, German, Italian, Spanish, or other origin. However, for devices equipped with a Type G (UK) or Type A/B (USA, Japan) plug, an adapter is still required.
